4 | Seattle Parks | Join Seattle Parks in this creation station. Make your own jigsaw puzzle or go crazy with our wide selection of recycled materials. |
5 | Ballard Tool Library | Try out the drill press and make a votive candleholder. Learn more about the Ballard Tool Library and what kinds of tools can be rented. We’ll have free hammers and screwdrivers. |
6 | Sustainable Ballard Cider Press | Help us grind and press apples and sample some fresh apple cider. Bring your own apples and take home a bottle of cider. |
7 | Sunergy Systems | Play an interactive game to guess how many car miles driven are avoided over the lifespan of a residential solar electric system. |
8 | Built Green | Check out the green building materials touch and feel education station. |
9 | Sierra Club | Coloring pages for kids & conversations with adults |
10 | Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home | Educational display demonstrating the process of human composting, an eco-mindful end-of-life option. It closely imitates the natural cycle of life. |
11 | Geer Garage | Free stickers, flyers, sign up to our sharing marketplace, discussion and engagement of sharing. |
12 | Firefly Kitchens | Free samples, recipes, educational information. |
13 | Town & Country Markets | Prize wheel exhibiting renewable/sustainable products that we carry in our stores. Play cornhole set & pick up our reusable bag. Learn about our company’s commitment to sustainability. |
14 | Seattle Public Utilities | Seattle Public Utilities is updating its Strategic Business Plan (SBP) to refine the organization’s focus and better serve the needs of its community. As part of this effort, SPU will be available to talk about the SBP update, answer questions, and gather feedback. |
15 | Puget Sound Solar | Pick a car and ready your solar-powered engines! Watch your car zoom around the solar race car track. |
16 | Ridwell | Want to send less to the landfill? We can tell you how, plus answer all your questions about wasting less with Ridwell! Bring your family and friends, and put your recycling skills to the test with our fun sorting game! We’ll be collecting your bottlecaps and corks. |
17 | Ballard Fremont Greenways | Ballard Fremont Greenways will have a bike set up on a stand with cards in the spokes for trivia, and safe bike, pedestrian, and bus advice for getting around Seattle. We will also have laminated sheets of our advocacy on improving bus routes and street design. |
18 | Urban Tumbleweed | I will have a recording setup and a list of questions for individuals who would like to be on the next podcast episode to answer! For example “What does sustainability mean to you?” and “What do you wish you knew more about regarding sustainability?” Answers will be compiled into an episode that will premier in October. |
19 | Grow It Forward Restoration | Visit a “micro-nursery”, (4 by 4 foot area filled with 100 potted tree seedlings). Volunteers will engage interested people to explain project purpose and methods. |
20 | Citizens Climate Lobby | We will have information on how to register to vote, we also have a bean bag toss for kids, and mostly will be talking to folks about what Citizens Climate Lobby is all about. Learn about the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (EICDA) which requires big polluters pay a fee which will be divided equally into refunds to every citizen in the United States. |
21 | Seattle Electric Vehicles Association | Inspect a 2017 no-longer-produced Volt and a converted Honda nicknamed O’Sparky |
22 | Mexicuban | With Mexican and Cuban heritage we created a unique fusion of flavors that best represent both cultures. From our signature creation Fluffy Tacos to our own take on the famous Cuban sandwich, MexiCuban was born to bring an explosion of flavors for your taste buds. |

25 | Sustainable Ballard Community projects | Join the knitting circle with Ballard Knitters and learn all about Groundswell’s stewardship of Ballard Parks and Idle Free Ballard’s stewardship of Ballard’s clean air. |
