Our Tool Library has a Beautiful New Mural

Have you driven, bussed, biked, or walked past our Ballard Tool Library lately? If so, you will have noticed a vibrant new art installation courtesy of Urban ArtWorks. This amazing local non-profit envisions a world where all people have access to the transformative power of creating public art. The youth artists created a useful, engaging, eye-catching piece of public art. Urban ArtWorks youth programs have facilitated thousands of youth gaining art and employment skills, learning team work and self efficiency, as well as deepening connections with the community. 18 youth between the ages of 14-19 created and installed our new mural last week. We are so grateful to have been selected as a partner for a custom mural creation process. Thank you Urban ArtWorks!

It took a bit of work on our end to get the surface mural ready. Thank you to amazing volunteer Bryn and Sustainable Ballard Board Members Wendy and Marcia for prepping the wall.
