WHY DID YOU JOIN SUSTAINABLE BALLARD?
I want to support a Seattle community with a rich and deep heritage.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF SUSTAINABLE BALLARD?
Since 2020

WHAT PROJECT(S) ARE YOU CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN?
Sustainable Ballard Knitters

WHAT WAS THE FIRST SUSTAINABLE BALLARD EVENT/PROGRAM YOU ATTENDED?
A rainy, cold, dark January 2020, pre-covid, I walked into the Dane (now Pour Decisions) because I had been telling myself for years that I wanted to learn to knit. I walked up to a group of strangers and met the truly most incredible human being, Jody Grage, my knitting guru. She cast on for me and that was it.  I am currently working on scarf number 57. Good people using their humble talents to connect with and help others, its beautiful to be part of this group.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BEING A MEMBER OF SUSTAINABLE BALLARD?
That I encounter people who give of themselves. Everyone I have met is so full of talent, interest and experience. It is a very welcoming group of people who love to share knowledge and skills.

SHARE A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF

I have donated 7.62 gallons of blood. If you have never donated blood and are a wee bit unsure about the experience, I will go with you and hold your hand. Blood comes from one place, it saves lives, and you can do it, I promise.
