‘Free Letters Home’ Keeps Communication Flowing

Sustainable Ballard’s, ‘Free Letters Home’ Team, continues to provide service at The Ballard Food Bank on Tuesdays at midday. Free Cards and Stamps is a positive addition to the Food Bank and we strive to promote connection to community and communication with one another. We are always heartily welcomed by the BFB staff, volunteers and clients.

The FLH Team has been fortunate to receive card and stamp donations from BFB staff and volunteers, SB volunteers and community members. On average we distribute 30 cards, 20 stamps and interact with 30 clients per visit. Recently, a client at BFB, challenged by life struggles, was hoping to find the perfect card to send to his wife in India. We did that for him, complete with a Global Forever stamp and mailed from the BFB postal nook. He was grateful.
