Community Wildlife Habitat
We’re forming a team to get Ballard certified with the National Wildlife Federation as a “Community Wildlife Habitat.” Community Wildlife Habitats are organized by a team of 5-10 people, who not only help create habitat, but also hold workshops about gardening for wildlife and organize community events such as stream or trail cleanups.
Once the team is formed we will begin the work of certifying 160 backyards, schools, parks, community gardens, places of worship and businesses as Wildlife Habitat. Please contact Jenny if you’d like to participate.
