Bakery Gleaning Team Celebrates 9 Years!

The Bakery Gleaning team has been going strong for at least 9 years. Besides Tall Grass Bakery in Ballard, Mighty-O donuts began donating their unsold donuts a few years ago as well. The Gleaning team consists of about 15 active members every month. Volunteers pick up the unsold baked goods on Sundays and Wednesdays and deliver to the Edible Hope breakfast program, now located at St. Paul’s Church on NW 65th Street. The team has picked up at least 550 large bags of bread from Tall Grass Bakery and countless numbers of Mighty-O donuts for the Edible Hope Program.
