Get Your Garden Growing at the Tilth Plant Sale!

Join our friends at Tilth Alliance in Wallingford for their annual May Edible Plant Sale over Mother’s Day weekend. RainWise Rebates, an outreach effort for Sustainable Ballard, will be tabling at this event on Saturday May 10th so be sure to stop by our booth with your water conservation/rain garden questions! It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn how you can install nature-based drainage solutions to help Seattle be a sustainable and resilient city.

This is also a great place to get organically, sustainably and locally grown vegetable plant starts for your garden. All of the revenue from the May Edible Plant Sale benefits Tilth Alliance’s year-round programming which includes the Washington State Organic & Sustainable Farming Fund(WSOSFF) grant program to support organic and regenerative agricultural practices as a means to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, conserve water, sequester carbon, reduce GHG emissions and mitigate climate change.

Plants offered at the May Edible Plant Sale are the best varieties to grow successfully here in Seattle. You’ll find an amazing selection of fruits and veggies, as well as herbs, edible flowers, pollinator plants, and even gardening supplies that will help maximize your harvest all year round. So if you’re a new gardener just starting out you do not want to miss this and seasoned local gardeners know and love this annual plant sale.
