Our Festival Exhibitors help us create the fun and festive atmosphere we’ve all come to love. You’ll find all kinds of useful information by stopping by our exhibitor’s booths to play a game, see a demo or enjoy a sample.

1% for the Planet Learn about 1% for the Planet and understand the importance of giving back and connecting with the environment. Participate in our scavenger hunt and seek out companies, non-profits, people, and ideas that are increasing sustainability in your community. Individuals or groups that complete the hunt can win prizes!
Antioch University Seattle Antioch University Seattle provides learner-centered education to empower students with the knowledge and skills to lead meaningful lives and to advance social, economic, and environmental justice. AUS offers BA Completion and graduate programs in Education, Teaching, Counseling, Family therapy, Art and Drama Therapy, Clinical Psychology as well as an MS in Management and Leadership.
Antsquare  We empower users to explore what’s for sale in their community. It’s the best way to support local economy while discovering items you never would have found otherwise. Everyone has bought and sold things locally. Yep, even us. And like you, we found the experience complicated and inconsistent. Which is why we created Antsquare, a marketplace that delivers a smooth, seamless experience for both buyers and sellers in your community.
Ballard Acupuncture Center Ballard Acupuncture Center will introduce you to the world of Acutonics. Acutonics is a healing method based on Oriental Medicine that uses calibrated tuning forks instead of needles and applies them to different acupuncture points along the body. We will be offering demonstrations on how the tuning forks feel, as well as showing you the microsystem of the ear with small ear seeds. The ear has a whole microsystem that allows you to treat the whole body. We can activate different points on the ear by attaching ear seeds into the ear with little stickers.
Ballard High School Physics We’ll have a 5 bicycle generator. People can put their own bikes into stands and generate electricity. What will we power? Hmm….
Ballard Pediatric Dentistry Ballard Pediatric Dentistry develops optimum oral health within our patients by creating a dental home for them. We approach children with a positive attitude and providing care for them with compassion. We offer education, prevention of dental disease, and positive dental experiences for children as they grow. We have an educational game for toddlers and kids about practicing good oral hygiene and choosing snacks that are healthy for teeth–win prizes too!
Ballard ReUse + Seattle ReCreative Ballard Reuse and Seattle Recreative are teaming up on a booth. We will have materials on display, fun games made from salvaged materials and creative ideas for reuse. We hope to show how fun it can be to reuse and inspire people to keep more good stuff out of the landfill.

Built Green Come learn about green remodeling strategies and what it takes to get your home certified as a Built Green remodel! We will have demonstration materials so you can get a hands-on idea of what green, efficient, and healthy products you can use. We will also have expert green remodelers around to answer detailed questions. For the kids we’ll have activities and prizes to keep them entertained and teach them sustainability basics simultaneously.
Carbon Washington  CarbonWA is collecting signatures for a revenue-neutral carbon tax for the 2016 ballot. We will be gathering signatures and talking about our initiative at Sustainable Ballard. By creating a wide coalition of volunteer signature gatherers who educate the public on this simple and effective policy, we’re bringing people into the world of climate politics that have never participated in it before. CarbonWA is a truly grassroots movement to break through the political stalemate on climate action.
CascadiaNow! CascadiaNow! is a grassroots, non-profit, social movement dedicated to empowering individuals and communities in the Pacific Northwest. We are a fiscal sponsorship organization that provides support and services to groups, projects, and community partners to raise awareness of Cascadia, celebrate our distinct regional identity and create a positive impact in the Pacific Northwest.
Central Ballard Residents Association The Central Ballard Residents Association(CBRA) was formed to provide a public forum and to advocate on behalf of its members to promote a healthy, walkable, and safe community. CBRA sponsors the Ballard Commons Park HUB Team which will gather after a major disaster to assist in the coordination of available local resources and to relay information.
Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe  Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe loves to geek out on how to be more sustainable all the time, so we’re visiting the Sustainable Ballard Festival to play with other people looking to do the same! Test your knowledge with our sustainability trivia game, or come and play corn hole for a chance to win a free juice at one of our three cafes!
Cub Scouts – Pack 100 Ballard  Cub Scout Pack 100 will be collecting food and clothing for charity. Please stop by and donate either or both. Please also stop by to talk about scouting in our inclusive “All Families Welcome” pack of cub scouts.
Divine Spine Chiropractic Studio  We are offering a free Health and Wellness screening to individuals interested in preventative health care and those addressing any health concerns. We will have a doctor at our booth meeting with the public and answering any questions related to health and wellness. We give people the opportunity to fill out a short stress survey. The Doctor will then consult with each person for a complimentary spinal health check-up. We are a local company supporting Sustainable Ballard and the people of Ballard for 11 years. We are committed to people optimizing their health naturally and sustainably. We help families address their initial health concerns and give them strategies to prevent future health problems. EarthShare Washington  EarthShare Washington will sign up teams and individuals to participate in the 2016 Earth Day Challenge on April 22. Companies, communities, schools, churches, clubs, groups, family and friends can form teams to support leading environmental organizations through fundraising and volunteering. 46 years ago, communities across the nation came together to celebrate the first Earth Day. Today, EarthShare is leading efforts to renew our focus and commitment to Earth Day in Washington.
Emerald City Bike Lawyer Talk to your local bike lawyer! Sean is the lawyer responsible for getting the dangerous bollards removed from the Burke-Gilman trail. Stop by his booth to see wrecked bicycles, and discuss injury claims, bike safety, infrastructure, and insurance, with Ballard’s local bike lawyer. Enter to win a new helmet!
Equal Exchange Espresso Bar We’ll have an interactive matching game illustrating where chocolate comes from. In the end, participants will get to enjoy the “fruits” of their labor!
 Forterra  Evergreen Carbon Capture is Forterra’s program that allows individuals and companies to reduce their impact globally while investing in the health of our community locally. Participants demonstrate their commitment to sustainability by calculating their carbon footprint and contributing towards local tree planting efforts.  Groundswell NW For over 20 years, Groundswell NW has been empowering our community to create, activate and care for parks, habitat and open space in NW Seattle. We’ll have an interactive topographic map for you to pin your favorite parks. Share your ideas about building and boosting open space in NW Seattle and learn how you can create a backyard wildlife habitat through our partnership with the National Wildlife Federation.

Although I’m just a kid, I think if kids learn to minimize their carbon footprint& make right decisions about the environment, they’ll carry these understandings around with them forever. My booth is a fun learning experience with a poster presentation and a kid-friendly game.

The Nature Conservancy / Lauren Miheli Do you love mountains, water, and wildlife? Visit The Nature Conservancy booth, and we’ll introduce you to our conservation projects. We are a global non-profit conservation group with chapters in all 50 states, having worked in 35 different countries, with a million members world-wide. We are the “Go To” group for conservation expertise. Our mission is to preserve the lands and waters upon which all life depends. Come join us!
New Roots Organics We will have fruit to taste and give away, temporary tatoos for kids, a sample bin of produce and our other grocery items, swag. etc.. and friendly New Roots employees to answer questions!
Phinney Neighborhood Association Win a prize at our carnival wheel and find out how the PNA is helping neighbors live more sustainably. Learn about the PNA’s tool lending library and seed library, events like book swaps and garage sale day, the PNA Village (a program helping people remain in their homes as they age), and lots of opportunities to volunteer in the community.

Radio Ballard / Fremont / Greenwood / Phinney Ballard/ Fremont/ Greenwood/ Phinney Ridge is going to have a new low powered radio station. Our station’s mission is to educate our community about the rich cultural heritage and the new and emerging cultural opportunities within the northwest Seattle neighborhoods we’ll directly serve. We are partnering with numerous organizations, including non-profits, neighborhood associations, schools and youth organizations, and local businesses, to develop programming that reflects, supports, and serves as a “fulcrum”, or crossroads for our community. Smith Brothers Farms  We will have ½ pints of milk to sample while encouraging recycling of cartons, temporary tattoos for kids and friendly employees to help sign up families for home delivery service of Smith Brothers Farms local milk and other locally sourced foods.

Waterfront Seattle Waterfront Seattle is a multi-year program to rebuild Seattle’s waterfront following the removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. The Program spans the waterfront from Pioneer Square to Belltown and includes a rebuilt Elliott Bay Seawall, a new surface street providing access to and from downtown, and new parks, paths, and access to Elliott Bay. Improvements to the sustainability and environment of the waterfront will include a landscaped promenade extending north-south along the waterfront that manages stormwater and showcases native plants.
Zipcar During the festival, we’ll be offering discounted Zipcar memberships to those interested in joining the car-sharing community. We’re all about alternative transportation, so whether you bus, bike or walk, there’s a place for Zipcar in your transportation mix. Plus, folks who stop by our booth can play fun games and win some “green” prizes including reusable tote bags and wildflower seeds!
