Who's coming, and what are you planning to do?

  • fulvio - will be there all day. Pick a vegan recipe for yet another glorious lunch; if anybody wants to lead, I'd love to do some T'ai Chi; I also need a victim to practice Thai massage - mat-based, no table needed. If Andrea gets her Climate Dialogues group together, I'll join that. Also talk about Monday's monthly gathering.
  • jenny - well, i'll be there, of course. don't know if i'll be around the whole time. i may need to go help some friends pour concrete for a couple hours. if it's sunny, i will let the chickens out again and then work on the chicken coop. and go through my mail and clean out my fridge and cook something. exciting, huh? i'm still up for a game of some sort. i have lots. if you want to use the hot tub, bring bathing suit, towel and sandals.
  • karen - I'll be skiing, but if I get back to town in time, I'll drop by toward the end of the afternoon. No grand plans except to soak up and radiate some good vibes (and possibly be a Thai massage victim??).

Goings on

  • Andrea showed up, and immediately recruited the rest of us (Jenny and Fulvio, and later Rhondy) to assemble and stick stamps on a few hundred mailers for Groundswell NW.
  • After that project was completed, Fulvio decided on a lunch menu from the Veganomicon cookbook and went to the grocery store.
  • A couple hours of fevered cooking ensued.
  • Sometime around 2 or 3, lunch was served in the sun at the backyard table, with chickens and cats for company:
    • Jenny's fabulous quiche (non vegan, but with domestic eggs)
    • Portobello Salad in Spicy Mustard Dressing
    • Soft Poppy-Seed Polenta
    • Roasted Cauliflower and Asparagus
    • Tea-Poached Pears in Chocolate Sauce
  • Finally - clean-up and soaking time in the hot tub
