Talk:Welcome to Sustainable Ballard!
From Sustainable Ballard
Jenny: Hey y'all- don't forget, if you change the name of a page that has content here, you have to make sure that the page is 'moved' to the new name.

Why on Earth does an old page show up??
I'm mystified...I changed the main page back on July 27, putting the new (August) meeting date in, and some other little things but for whatever reason, an old page is showing up when I access the Main page of the wiki - huuuuhhhh???? When you look at the history, the history insists that the current page is actually the one with my changes - but it isn't, it's an old page --Cmelak 09:12, 1 Aug 2006 (PDT)
Answer
This is a common annoyance. It does not happen all the time, but when the saved page does not show the changes you made, you just need to refresh (aka "reload") it in your browser. Sometimes, you even need to refresh/reload it more than once to get the updated version. But usually that's all it takes.
Tip: in most browsers, you can reload/refresh a page pressing the F5 key in the top row of your keyboard. If you hold down the Ctrl key while pressing F5, you actually "force" the browser to get the latest version of the page, regardless of what it already has stored in its cache.

Appropedia and your wiki
Hi,
I just chanced across your wiki and I think what you're doing is great - however I think there's greater potential if we team up.
What do you think about collaboration between our wikis, or even joining forces? At the very least make a "Sustainable Ballard" page or portal at Appropedia and encourage other towns around the world to do likewise. ----Chriswaterguy 04:31, 11 March 2007 (PDT)
Tilth Producers - Volunteers Needed!
Tilth Producers of Washington promotes ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable farming practices that improve the health of our communities and natural environment.
Tilth Producers is expanding its volunteer program and we are looking for folks who are passionate about organic and sustainable farming. Getting involved lets you connect with other like-minded people and also gives you the chance to be an ambassador for the local agricultural community.
There are many ways you can help: representing Tilth Producers at Farmer's Markets and festivals in your area, staffing the Annual Conference and other special events, assisting on various committees, getting involved with youth education, plus many more. You can get as involved as your schedule allows - we can use your help with tasks both large and small.
We would like to hear from you and explore what special skills and abilities you would like to share. To find out more about all the volunteer opportunities available and to receive a volunteer info kit and application form, please send an e-mail to christina@tilthproducers.org, or call Christina at 425-252-5434.
