Sustainable Ballard educates, inspires, and engages neighbors to take action to live more sustainably both individually and collectively. Volunteers are critical for our projects, community events, and monthly meetings. We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator who will manage, coordinate, and thank Sustainable Ballard volunteers throughout the year. Ideally, the Volunteer Coordinator would live in or near Ballard. Responsibilities include

• Recruitment and management of volunteers for our regular and special events throughout the year (not including our annual fall Festival)
• Attending some SB Board meetings
• Overseeing communication with volunteers
• Responding to volunteer inquiries in a timely way
• Posting and recruiting for volunteer opportunities
• Thanking and acknowledging volunteers throughout the year
• Organizing volunteer celebration and recognition activities

Hours per week will vary, but will be at least 2-3 hours each week.

The volunteer coordinator will need his/her own computer and internet access.
